Story by Sui…

I was saving this story for a different time. I have lots of stories and have just posted a few here in the book…

This story seems like a good one to tell now! As I am just walking through the vast woods and tracking a Zombie God…

So here is Sui’s story:

Hi my name is Sui and I am telling this fine interesting guy named Styker, my story of what was happening the day the Zombie Virus struck my city I lived in…

The city is unimportant as it no longer exists. It burned to the ground after the last few survivors decided that the only way to stop the virus was to burn the damn Zombies. Sp they burned Zombies and found out that then they had a walking, moaning, molotov cocktail that did not stop until it was completely consumed by fire and that took many minutes. During those minutes the Zombie caught all around it on fire and since we have very little rain, well our city was a tender box and went up in flames as fast as the Zombies did…

When the Zombie Virus hit I was tending my garden in the front yard. I was using some of the precious water to water my plants early in the morning. You see, it was against the law to water your yard and plants. Why it was against the law for me to even collect rain water and save it to water plants. Damn government anyway. Well they are all gone now and I say good to that…

But, as I was saying! I was watering my garden and keep a low profile. It was that low profile that saved me at that time. I have a neighbor gentleman who just loves to entertain ladies many nights a week. He always has loud noises and parties going on. So it was no surprise this morning when I saw him stumble out looking rather worse for the wear, but what was a surprise was the woman who leaped out of the front door and attacked him…

She bit him on the back and he was screaming like a little kid. Then he shut up and the next thing I new. He stood up and they both went after the UPS man who had just stopped to deliver his first package of the day, to another neighbor…

That was the start of a chain of events that allowed me to watch all the neighbors on the street, being either attacked and turned into Zombies or already being Zombies attacking anything they saw move…

I stood in my garden as quiet as a mouse and being the only one alone in the house I had no one to worry about, but myself. I just stood mortified and that is what saved me. No one including Zombies knew I was there…

After everything calmed down and all the Zombies had wandered away looking for more food. I slowly sneaked back into my house and quietly closed the door. I knew what was going on, for you see I had prepared for this many many years ago. I had weapons, food and water stashed. I also had reenforced doors and windows on my house. I am from a long line of believers in Zombies and no way would I not be ready for this…

My cat named Furry, was very upset with what she was seeing out the front bay window. I pulled all the metal shutters and locked the steel doors. It was the commotion that I created shutting the house down that drew Zombie attention…

The next thing I knew I had hundreds of Zombies all around the yard, why they trampled my garden that I just watered. Damn Zombies…

I went to the attic and opened the door that I had installed in the roof, so that I could look out and see who was in my yard if a Zombie attack did happen. It was a little platform that I built at the peak of the roof. I could shoot and or just observe from this platform…

At first I just observed. I looked and watched for several days. Then when I realized that I was the only one who was still human as far as I could see from my perch. I gathered my rifle, with scope and went to target practice. I have a 218 Bee varmint rifle and I can shoot the eye out of a chipmunk at 200 yards. So shooting the eye out of a Zombie at 200 yards is nothing…

I spent a few fun days cleaning the street of Zombies and being so dry and dehumidify, the bodies just shriveled up into wrinkled up masses. The crows and vultures finished off the rest and smell was never a issue. I had a silencer and would shoot an old bell in the church tower down the street. It would ring and clang. Then the Zombies would all stumble to see what was making the noise. When they were all near the old church, I would just silently send them all to their Zombie grave forever…

I know I sound cold and heartless and I guess I am. But hey I am still alive and most everyone is a Zombie or dead. Well a Zombie is dead. So all are dead almost…

I have my garden back and it is helping supply fresh veggies and I have blocked easy access to the street I live on. So I have plenty of room for Furry and I to walk around and look at things safely. Occasionally I have to put a straggling Zombie down with my silencer 9mm Beretta! But it has been a month since I had to do that! It seems that the Zombies are leaving to find food elsewhere and they know that they are not gonna eat me…

That is it I guess…
