I came upon a rattle snake. He was in a bad mood and was coiled up ready to strike. Now I did not care, but all of a sudden the snake’s head exploded and then a loud pop from Aunt Bell’s gun sounded. I looked off in the distance and there she was waving at me. I was so far away she was almost a small dot…

I could see the smoke from her gun though and I am here to tell you, that she can shoot the eye out of a rattle snake at a 100 yards…
